Loyalty Program for Coffee Shops
Give the customer who grabs a morning coffee a reason to choose you for their next break, too. Build a loyalty program for your café and use rewards along the way to show how every punch brings them closer to the next one.

A loyalty card that looks like your café
Add your logo and colours to your loyalty card, then choose a cup, coffee bean or croissant punch icon. Place a size upgrade at the fifth punch and a standard coffee at the tenth. Each time customers open the card on their phone, they see your café and their progress towards the next reward.

Location reminders
PROA regular walking past on the way to work can see a reminder of their morning coffee on their loyalty card: “Pick up a coffee and get closer to your next reward.” It puts your café in mind when they are deciding where to stop. The same reminder can prompt a slower afternoon coffee break.
Automatic campaigns
When mornings are already busy, give regulars a reason to visit on a quieter day instead of discounting every coffee. For example, offer an extra punch on eligible coffee purchases on a weekday you choose. They have a reason to move a coffee break to that day, and you can support a new habit.
Referral program
When a regular recommends your café to a colleague, they share an invitation link. Once their friend accepts and makes a first visit, both get an extra punch on their cards. The newcomer starts working towards a reward, while the regular has a reason to come back for another coffee.
Win-back campaign
If someone who buys coffee every week stops coming, remind them of the punches they have already earned: “Your punches are still on your card. Your next coffee takes you a step closer to a reward.” An automatic message after the period you set helps put your café back in mind for their next break.
Rewards along the way
Customers need not wait until punch ten for a free coffee. Give a size upgrade at punch five; they can use it on a later eligible purchase while still working towards a standard coffee at punch ten. The first reward makes the middle of the card worth reaching.
One business, several cards
A daily takeaway coffee and a bag of beans for brewing at home are bought at different intervals. You can set a short target on one loyalty card for takeaway drinks and a separate card for customers who regularly buy beans. Someone who buys both moves towards a reward on each card at their own pace.
